Scope of Work
The scope of work involves the conversion of INS Sutlej into a Cadet Training Ship at NSRY, Kochi. The work includes removal, fitment, installation, fabrication, electrical wiring, sanitary works, equipment installation and space conversion across multiple compartments of the vessel.
Major Scope Components
1. Existing Survey Ops Room – Proposed Trainees’ Classroom
The work includes removal of existing chart tables, working tables and deck underlay, followed by fitment of classroom infrastructure. The proposed classroom scope includes:
- Cadet seating arrangement for approximately 40 cadets.
- Installation of smart TV.
- Installation of internet-enabled PCs and working tables.
- Deck underlay application and repair.
- Foundation/clamp arrangement for smart TV.
- Classroom furniture and electrical support.
2. Existing Chief Recorder Room – Training Office

3. 45 Men Mess – Cadet Mess

4. Existing Gym – Trainees’ Chart Room
The existing gym is to be converted into a chart room for trainees. The work includes:

5. Forward Naval Store – Trainees’ Wash Space

- Fresh water and sea water line tapping.
- Soil line, drain line and deck penetration works.
- Ventilation trunking for supply and exhaust.
- Deck underlay and dado casting.
- LED lights, mirror lights, geyser, sockets and electrical equipment.
- Supply and exhaust motors with starter panel foundations.
6. CPO Mess / Dining Area
The scope includes:
- Foldable table with rack for utensils and cutlery.
- Wash basin installation.
7. Naval Store Lobby
The work includes:
- Removable/foldable slant ladder.
- Securing arrangement for cargo hatch with stanchions and chains.
8. Galley and Equipment Replacement
The material and equipment list includes items for galley and dining operations such as:

Pre-Qualification Criteria
