Scope of Work

1. The scope includes cleaning and disinfection of PVC, UGR and RCC water storage tanks of different capacities at non-residential buildings in Sector 27, Chandigarh. The work covers cleaning of terrace/loft water storage tanks up to 2,000 litres, removal of silt and rubbish, cleaning with fresh water, disinfection using bleaching powder, marking the cleaning date on the tank body, and disposal of malba as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
2. The work also includes cleaning of underground sumps and overhead RCC tanks, including emptying the tanks by pumping, cleaning the bottom deposits, scrubbing the internal surface, pressure washing, chlorination, drying through air jetting, removal of loose particles and ultraviolet treatment wherever required as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Eligibility and Pre-Qualification Criteria

1. Eligible bidders should be approved enlisted contractors of the appropriate category and class of the Public Health Wing of the Engineering Department, U.T. Chandigarh. The bidder should have executed similar nature of work and should be enlisted with the Public Health Department for Public Health works.
2. Bidders must submit an affidavit confirming that they have not been blacklisted, debarred or suspended by any government, semi-government, board, corporation or private firm as on the last date of tender submission. The affidavit must also confirm that similar works have not been executed on a back-to-back basis through another contractor.

Financial Criteria

1. The tender document specifies an estimated cost of ₹3,35,899 and EMD of ₹6,718. No minimum average annual turnover or net worth requirement is mentioned in the uploaded tender document. Performance Guarantee is required from the successful contractor as per CPWD provisions and is indicated as 5% of the DNIT/tendered accepted value, subject to applicable rules.

2. The tender will be submitted in two covers: Cover 1 will contain the EMD transaction details, affidavit and eligibility/enlistment documents, while Cover 2 will contain the financial bid.
