The project will include regular classroom sessions, teacher mentoring, field visits and structured monitoring.

Experience Requirements

The organisation should have:

• Minimum 10 years experience in English Language Education / Literacy / Communication Skills.
• Minimum 5 years implementation experience in:
  • Government Schools
  • Tribal Schools
  • EMRS
  • Residential Schools
  • Ashram Schools
• Experience of implementing programmes in:
  • Minimum 20 Schools
    OR
  • Minimum 1000 learners in any one of the last three financial years.

Maharashtra Government Invites ₹4 Crore EOI for English Language & Communication Skills Programme in Tribal Schools

The Commissioner, Tribal Development Department, Government of Maharashtra has invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) from experienced educational organisations, NGOs, trusts, societies and Section 8 companies for implementing a large-scale English Language and Communication Skills Programme across tribal residential educational institutions in the state.

The initiative seeks to strengthen English proficiency, communication abilities, employability and academic preparedness among students enrolled in Government Ashram Schools, Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) and Tribal NEET-JEE Centres.

With an estimated project value of ₹4 crore, the programme will cover 54 educational institutions, including 39 EMRS Schools, 11 English Medium Ashram Schools and 4 Tribal NEET-JEE Centres. The selected implementing agency will be responsible for curriculum design, classroom delivery, teacher capacity building, digital learning content, assessments, monitoring, reporting and overall project management.

The Tribal Development Department expects participating organisations to possess substantial experience in English language education, literacy enhancement and communication skills development. Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in English language education and 5 years of implementation experience in government or tribal educational ecosystems. Financial eligibility includes a minimum average annual turnover of ₹37 lakh during the last three financial years along with a positive net worth certified by a Chartered Accountant.

The tender prescribes a Tender Fee of ₹50,000, an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹4 lakh, and mandates online submission of bids through the Maharashtra e-Tender portal. Physical submissions, emails and courier submissions will not be accepted.

Interested organisations should note that the pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 31 July 2026 at 11:00 AM, while the last date for submission of bids is 11 August 2026 up to 5:00 PM.
