SBI Foundation invites proposals from eligible NGOs/NPOs for implementing projects under its flagship Centre of Excellence for Persons with Disabilities (CoE) initiative. The program aims to promote sustainable livelihoods and economic empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) across India.
  1. Project Duration: 12 to 36 months
  2. Project Budget Range: ₹1 Crore to ₹5 Crore
  3. Coverage Area: Pan India (Preference: Aspirational Districts & North-East)
 Scope of Work
The selected NGOs will implement projects under the following key thematic areas:
1. Vocational Training & Skill Development
1.       Industry-aligned skill training (IT, manufacturing, hospitality, retail, etc.)
2.       Disability-inclusive training methods (sign language, adaptive learning)
3.       Soft skills and workplace readiness training
4.       Minimum 70% placement outcomes
5.       Minimum salary: ₹10,000/month
6.       Minimum 6 months retention post-placement
2. Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP)
  1. Training for self-employment and micro-enterprises
  2. Business planning, financial literacy, and marketing
  3. Mentorship, handholding, and market linkage support
  4. Minimum 70% enterprise sustainability
  5. Income benchmark: ₹10,000/month
Eligibility Criteria
Organizational Eligibility
  1. Must be a registered NGO/NPO/Trust/Society in India
  2. Minimum 3 years of registration
  3. Minimum 3 years of experience in PwD sector (skill/livelihood)
  4. Must not be blacklisted by any government authority
  5. No political or religious affiliations
Functional Eligibility
  1. Proven track record in implementing livelihood or skill development programs
  2. Capability to deliver measurable outcomes
  3. Direct implementation (subcontracting not allowed)
Pre-Qualification Criteria
  1. Submission of all required documents (as per checklist)
  2. Minimum governance structure:
    1. At least 3 board members
    2. Minimum 5 permanent employees
