The Indian Army, Department of Military Affairs, Ministry of Defence has invited bids through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) for providing training services for manpower in Information Technology, Computer Networks, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Automation, Information Security and COTS Applications.

Training Areas and Syllabus

The uploaded syllabus covers a range of IT and emerging technology areas.

1. Database Management – Foundation Level

The database module covers database concepts, DBMS and RDBMS, database applications, tables, rows and columns, primary and foreign keys, data types, relationships, SQL fundamentals, filtering, sorting, aggregate functions, Group By, Order By, basic joins, backup and restore, user management, security basics and database administration best practices.

2. Basic Coding & AI Programming – Foundation Level

The coding module includes programming concepts, logic building, flowcharts, algorithms, variables, data types, operators, conditional statements, loops, functions, arrays and strings. Python fundamentals include installation, syntax, input/output and basic programming.

The syllabus also introduces AI concepts and applications, machine learning basics, Generative AI, AI ethics, AI chatbots, AI writing tools, image generation and responsible AI usage.

3. Professional Video & Digital Media – Foundation Level

The syllabus includes image and video formats, resolution, aspect ratio and colour theory, followed by Adobe Photoshop fundamentals, photo retouching and image enhancement.

Adobe Premiere Pro covers media import, timeline editing, audio editing, titles and export settings, while Adobe After Effects includes composition, animation, text animation, motion graphics and rendering.

4. IoT & Automation – Foundation Level

The IoT and automation training covers IoT concepts, architecture, applications, sensors and actuators, electronics basics, Arduino, sensors, IoT communication, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cloud basics and IoT security fundamentals.

5. Computer Networking – Basic & Advanced Foundation Level

The networking syllabus includes network fundamentals, network types, topologies, transmission media, OSI and TCP/IP models, IPv4, IPv6, subnetting, public and private IP addressing, networking devices, hubs, switches, routers, access points and firewalls.

The uploaded course material also includes Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) – Level, covering digital forensics, cyber crime, evidence handling, investigation processes, Windows/Linux fundamentals, data acquisition, disk imaging, chain of custody, file recovery, network and email forensics and investigation reporting.

Professional Qualification Criteria

The tender contains significant technical qualification requirements for the Service Provider.

1. Be an Authorised Training Centre (ATC) of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India; or
