Scope of Work
The selected consultant will provide end-to-end architectural consultancy services for the proposed APTRANSCO Research & Capacity-Building Institute. The campus is planned across two APTRANSCO-owned land parcels in Vijayawada, together measuring approximately 2.30 acres. Parcel A is proposed for academic, administrative and laboratory blocks, while Parcel B is planned for hostel, canteen and guesthouse facilities.
The scope includes:
- Primary Surveys and Investigations
Topographic survey, geotechnical investigation, services mapping, site analysis, climate study, sun-path analysis, wind and access study.
- Master Planning
Site planning for both parcels, massing study, vehicular and pedestrian circulation, services layout, landscape framework and phasing strategy.
- Architectural Design
Concept design with at least two options, schematic design, design development and tender drawings for the institute components.
- Interior Design
Internal layouts, finishes, joinery details, lighting design and signage planning.
- Structural Design
RCC / steel structural design, foundation design and seismic analysis as per relevant IS codes.
- MEP and Fire Engineering
HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, fire detection and suppression, BMS, CCTV, access control, PA systems, IT/data systems, solar PV, rainwater harvesting and STP.
- Cost Estimation and BOQ
Detailed BOQ, rate analysis, value engineering and tender cost estimates.
- Statutory Approval Support
Assistance for VMC building permit, fire NOC, environmental clearance if applicable, AAI clearance and other required approvals.
- Tender Process Support
Preparation of tender drawings, technical specifications, BOQ, pre-bid support, RFI response and technical evaluation of contractor bids.
- Implementation Support
GFC / IFC drawings, BIM model at LOD 350, fortnightly site visits, shop drawing review, design query resolution, coordination with PMC / contractor, as-built drawings, O&M manuals and project closure report.
