📌 Objectives of the Project
- Ensure legal compliance with ABC Rules 2023 and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
- Build capacity of professionals for effective and humane implementation of ABC programs.
- Reduce stray dog population and rabies cases through sterilization and vaccination.
- Promote community engagement and responsible street dog management.
- Improve quality and consistency in ABC operations.
🧾 Scope of Work
The selected AWO will be responsible for:
- Preparing training plans, schedules, and materials aligned with ABC Rules 2023.
- Conducting at least 3 training batches/year for:
- Veterinarians
- Para-veterinarians
- Programme Managers
- Providing hands-on training and practical demonstrations.
- Issuing training certificates upon successful evaluation.
- Submitting comprehensive training reports to LMC.
📄 Components of Training
- Dog Catching Techniques – Humane methods using prescribed tools.
- Pre-operative Preparation – Clinical assessments and vaccination.
- Surgical Sterilization – Standard protocols for both male and female dogs.
- Post-operative Care – Monitoring, infection control, and recovery.
- Record Keeping & Reporting – As per ABC Rules.
- Monitoring and Evaluation – Ongoing review and compliance.
