Scope of Work
The selected / empanelled agency will be responsible for the supply of Jute Diversified Products as per JCI requirements. The scope includes:
- Manufacturing and supply of jute bags and related JDP items as per specifications and quality standards set by JCI.
- Stitching of jute bags along with biodegradable plastic sheet / related covering material, wherever required.
- Delivery of finished products at the designated location specified by JCI in Tirupati.
- Maintaining uninterrupted production capacity of at least 2,000 units per day.
- Maintaining storage capacity of approximately 10,000 units.
- Submission of daily production status, fabric stock position and dispatch details to JCI.
- Allowing JCI or JCI-appointed inspection agencies to inspect quality at manufacturing units.
- Complying with quality control protocols and statutory requirements.
- Working through associate members, artisans, MSMEs or similar production networks, wherever applicable.
Eligible Applicants
The EOI is open to the following entities situated in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana:
- Women Self-Help Groups
- Women Cooperative Societies
- Associations
- NGOs registered under the Societies Registration Act
- Section 8 Companies
- Start-up organisations
- Adivasi communities
- Similar social benefit entities working for community or social development
Pre-Qualification Criteria
Applicants must meet the following pre-qualification conditions:
- The applicant must have valid registration documents such as Trade License, SHG registration certificate, Cooperative Society registration certificate, NGO registration certificate, Section 8 Company registration or similar proof of legal status.
- PAN is mandatory.
- GSTIN is mandatory.
- The applicant should have experience in jute or allied natural products.
- The applicant should have a good track record in sale or supply of jute and allied merchandise.
- The applicant must be capable of executing a single transaction of at least INR 2 lakh.
- The applicant must have access to manufacturing infrastructure for cutting, stitching, trimming, packing and storage.
- The applicant should have production capacity of minimum 2,000 JDP units per day.
- The applicant should have storage capacity of minimum 10,000 units.
- The applicant must provide details of associated members, machinery and monthly production capacity.
Experience Criteria
The applicant must have minimum 3 months of business experience in execution and supply of jute and/or allied natural products such as:
- Shopping bags
- Fancy bags
- Beach bags
- Batuas
- Bottle bags
- Travel bags
- Files and folders
- Small jute accessories
- Other allied natural product merchandise
If the applicant does not have 3 months of direct business experience, it may submit the experience details of its associate members, staff or members who have worked with jute or allied natural products. Relevant certifications or experience documents may also be submitted.

Selection Procedure
Selection of suppliers will be based on verification of documents, nature of business, business track record, supply experience and capacity to execute JCI’s requirements. The final selection will be at the discretion of JCI.
Applicants may submit only one application. If more than one proposal is submitted by the same applicant, all such proposals may be disqualified.
JCI may purchase jute bags and related products from the L1 bidder through a tender process or through a rate contract. The selected agency and JCI may sign an agreement specifying sales price, product styles and supply period.
Submission Guidelines
- Application must be submitted in a sealed envelope.
- All required supporting documents must be enclosed.
- The EOI document must be signed and stamped on all pages.
- The envelope should be clearly marked with the EOI number and date.
- The application should be addressed to the Deputy Manager / Addl Deputy Manager (O/M), The Jute Corporation of India Ltd.
- Application may be submitted by Speed Post, Courier or deposited in the designated drop box as mentioned in the EOI.
- JCI will not be responsible for postal delays.
- Applications must reach within the stipulated deadline.
