Tender Overview

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), through the Executive Engineer-II, Khairatabad Zone, Hyderabad, has invited bids from eligible contractors for execution of civil infrastructure-related works under GHMC jurisdiction. The tender includes execution of construction and development works as per Andhra Pradesh Standard Specifications (APSS) and contract conditions prescribed in the bid document.

The selected contractor will be responsible for execution, supervision, quality control, safety compliance, manpower deployment, procurement of materials, and timely completion of the assigned work. The contract also includes a 24-month defect liability period after completion of work.

Scope of Work

The scope of work broadly includes:

Execution of civil construction and infrastructure development works under GHMC.

Site inspection, material procurement, transportation, labour deployment, and execution as per approved drawings and APSS standards.

Deployment of qualified technical personnel at the work site.

Quality control compliance and testing procedures.

Construction management including drainage diversion, safety arrangements, temporary works, power supply, and labour facilities.

Completion of works within the stipulated timeline including rainy season considerations.

Maintenance and defect rectification during the defect liability period of 24 months.

1. Contractors must submit signed tender documents along with EMD.
2. All declarations and technical staffing details must be furnished.
3. Percentage quoted in words shall prevail in case of discrepancy.
4. Contractors must inspect the site before submission.
5. Subletting is restricted and allowed only with departmental approval.
6. Contractors must comply with APSS standards and GHMC quality control norms.

2. Conduct required material and workmanship tests.
3. Rectify defects identified during inspection.
4. Maintain construction safety standards.
5. Ensure compliance with Engineer-in-Charge instructions.

1. Running bills will be paid based on measured work.
2. 7.5% retention amount will be withheld as security.
3. Final payment release will be subject to successful completion and defect liability obligations.
4. No price escalation claims will be entertained.

1. Liquidated damages of 0.1% per day may be imposed.
2. Maximum penalty may extend up to 5%–10% of contract value depending on delay duration.
