Government Extends PMKVY 4.0 Implementation Period Till 31 March 2027

The decision has been communicated through an official letter dated 09 July 2026 issued by the PMKVY Division, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, addressed to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
The extension provides additional time for Training Partners (TPs), Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs), Sector Skill Councils (SSCs), Assessment Agencies, and other stakeholders to complete pending training, assessment, certification, and placement-related activities under the flagship Skill India programme. PMKVY 4.0 is implemented by MSDE through NSDC as the Government of India's flagship short-term skill development initiative.
