MPESB Recruitment 2026: Skill Test and Document Verification Dates Announced for Subedar and ASI Posts
Bhopal, May 2026: The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has announced the schedule for the Skill Test and Document Verification process for recruitment to 500 Subedar and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) posts. Candidates who have qualified in the written examination will now appear for the next stage of the recruitment process from June 2 to June 4, 2026, in Bhopal.
The Board has directed shortlisted candidates to download their information letter, instructions, and admit card from the official website — esb.mp.gov.in — before appearing for the examination and verification process.
Skill Test and Document Verification from June 2 to June 4
According to the schedule released by MPESB, the Skill Test and Document Verification will be conducted over three days in Bhopal. Candidates must report only on the date and time allotted to them in their information letter. The Board has clearly stated that requests for a change in examination date or allotted centre will not be accepted under any circumstances.
This stage is crucial for candidates who have cleared the written examination, as their final eligibility will be assessed through skill-based testing and document verification.
Stenography and Typing Tests to Assess Practical Skills
The recruitment process includes separate skill assessments depending on the post applied for.
For candidates appearing for the Stenography Test, the assessment will include shorthand dictation in either Hindi or English, based on the language selected at the time of application. The dictation will be given at the prescribed speed, including 80 or 100 words per minute, as applicable.
After taking the dictation in shorthand script, candidates will be required to transcribe and type the content on a computer within the stipulated time. The test will evaluate shorthand accuracy, transcription ability, typing speed, and overall computer-based documentation skills.
For Assistant Sub-Inspector posts, candidates will undergo a Computer Typing Test. This test will assess typing speed and accuracy in Hindi and English. Hindi typing may be conducted using Remington Gail or Inscript keyboard layouts. Candidates must type the given passage on a computer within the fixed time limit with minimum errors.
Two Examination Centres Finalised in Bhopal
MPESB has designated two centres in Bhopal for conducting the Skill Test and Document Verification process. These centres are:
- Madan Maharaj College, Shiv Nagar Colony, Bhanpur, Bhopal
- Vaishnavi Institute of Technology and Science, Bhojpur Road, Mendua, Bhopal
Candidates must carefully check the centre allotted to them in their information letter and reach the venue as per the reporting time mentioned by the Board.
Aadhaar e-KYC Verification Mandatory
MPESB has made Aadhaar e-KYC verification mandatory during the examination and document verification process. Candidates must carry their original Aadhaar Card to the examination centre.
The Board has also advised candidates to ensure that their Aadhaar number is active and not locked, as Aadhaar-based verification will be part of the identity authentication process.
Original Documents and Self-Attested Copies Required
Candidates appearing for Document Verification must carry all required original certificates and documents. Along with original documents, candidates must also submit self-attested photocopies at the examination centre.
Documents likely to be required include educational certificates, identity proof, category certificate where applicable, admit card, information letter, and other documents mentioned in the official instructions issued by MPESB.
Important Instructions for Candidates
Candidates should download and read the official instructions carefully before appearing for the Skill Test and Document Verification. They must report only on their allotted date and centre. Any mismatch in documents, failure to carry Aadhaar Card, or non-compliance with official instructions may affect the candidate’s participation in the process.
MPESB has also clarified that no relaxation will be given for change of examination centre or date.
