India’s flagship Skill India Mission (SIM) continues to deliver transformative outcomes in workforce development, with over 1.64 crore candidates trained under PMKVY and significant expansion across apprenticeship, ITI infrastructure, and emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI).
According to a recent statement by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), the mission has strengthened India's skilling ecosystem through large-scale training, industry alignment, and digital innovation.
