Prayagraj, India: Reinforcing India’s vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and future-ready leadership, the three-day flagship programme Sankalp 2026 concluded at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad. The event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, academicians, and students under a unified platform focused on skill development, innovation, mental well-being, and entrepreneurship.
Organised by the institute’s Design Innovation Centre, Sankalp 2026 was built around the theme “Skilling and Nurturing Knowledge for Aatmanirbhar Leadership and Prosperity.” The initiative reflects a growing national push to integrate education with industry demands and policy frameworks.
Strong Industry–Academia Collaboration
The programme witnessed strategic collaboration with key ecosystem stakeholders, including Invest UP as the industry partner, Vigyan Bharati as the knowledge partner, and the Department of Vocational Education and Skill Development as the skill partner.
This collaboration underscores the importance of bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world industry requirements—an essential step toward building a future-ready workforce.
Mental Well-being Recognised as a Core Skill
In a thought-provoking session, Nisha Luthra highlighted the importance of emotional resilience and positive thinking. She emphasized that mental well-being should be treated as a critical component of both personal and professional success, especially in high-performance environments.
Focus on Indigenous Technology and AI Transformation
Technical discussions featured insights from Manoj Khare, who presented the Ganana Project, showcasing India’s advancements in indigenous computational capabilities. The session emphasized the need for self-reliance in high-performance computing and digital infrastructure.
Adding to the discourse, Nimish Kapoor elaborated on the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, governance, and manufacturing. His address highlighted AI as a key driver of India’s digital and economic growth.
Panel Discussion on Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat
A high-level panel discussion explored the role of academic institutions in achieving the goals of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat. The panel featured experts from leading organizations such as Emami Limited, NXP Semiconductors, and Tabor Electronics Limited, alongside policy representatives.
Panelists collectively emphasized the need for students to go beyond traditional degrees and actively engage in innovation, research, entrepreneurship, and social impact initiatives.
