Is NSDC Losing the Trust of India's Skill Development Ecosystem? Questions on PMKVY, Governance, and Transparency.

Is something significant changing at NSDC?

Some of the questions being discussed across the ecosystem include:

🔹 Has NSDC lost the confidence of training partners, assessment agencies, and other stakeholders?

🔹 Has the recent CAG report changed public perception or raised unresolved governance questions?

🔹 Have protests and stakeholder concerns affected the organisation's image?

🔹 Who is ultimately responsible for PMKVY payment delays—NSDC, MSDE, or the overall administrative process?

🔹 We recently reviewed the updated NSDC website and observed changes, including the removal of some legacy photographs and branding elements that were previously displayed. Are these simply part of a website redesign, or do they reflect a broader institutional transition?

The larger question is not about individuals—it's about the future of India's skill development ecosystem.

Trust is the foundation of every national mission. If stakeholders are asking questions, transparent communication and timely clarification become even more important.

What is your assessment?

  1. Is NSDC entering a new phase of transformation?
  2. Are these concerns temporary, or do they indicate deeper systemic issues?
  3. What should be the priority to rebuild confidence across the ecosystem?

Let's keep this discussion factual, constructive, and solution-oriented. I look forward to hearing perspectives from training partners, Sector Skill Councils, industry leaders, assessors, policymakers, and learners.
